Well, the recent announcement of the retro style Megaman for the WiiWare was not only a pleasant surprise for me. More like straight out fantastic news. Even more fantastic is the recent announcement that confirms the newest blue bombers release as a multi-platform title! Jump and joy people!
Every next gen console owner will be able to buy the game from the download service of his preference! Me? I’ll go for the xbox live arcade version… why? Why, for the achievement points of course!
And speaking of mega people, don’t forget to check out my incoming Megaman Starforce 2 review, coming *hopefully* this Monday!
After the recent announcement of Call of Duty 5 (now named “World at War”), here come some nifty screenshots.
Strangely enough, the graphics don’t look all that fantastic. However, it appears that 4 player online co-op will be available for PS3, 360 and PC. Wii owners will have to deal with what Treyarch has called “a special cooperative mode”. More screens and press release here
If you ever thought of applying for a job for Nintendo lately, you might have noticed this segment in their contract page:
CONTRACT – Software/Hardware Tester
Description of Duties
—-> * Creating and executing a test plan for Wii’s USB devices <—–
* Executing test plans with great attention to detail and documenting bugs
* Writing test procedure documents, gathering, and learning required software/hardware
* Reproducing bug reports and helping find work-arounds or resolutions
Does USB devices imply a much needed USB HDD? All I can say is: I hope so.
Me? I’ll go for the 360 and DS versions. Sorry, but the “cool” control scheme isn’t enough to convince me on the wii version, I wanna see those force graphics as good as I can.
This Swarovski filled Wii is Nintendo’s Brawl tournament’s grand prize… Of course, if you suck atBrawl and think a Wii decked out with 20,000 crystals is cool, you could possibly just grab one from Crystal Icing, maker of all things crystallized. They’re not currently selling them, but I’m sure if you got them on the phone and asked them to charge four grand to your credit card, something could be worked out…
Kotaku finally got some details and posted up everything (almost) you need to know about WiiWare, the newest Wii Channel that will let you download community, private programmer made mini-games (Nintendo Live Arcade anyone?).
Wanting a little more meat on your WiiWare info’s bones? Nintendo of America’s Tom Prata’s got your back. He’s finally disclosed some of the more intimate details regarding the service, and while we still don’t know how much games are going to cost or which games, exactly, are going to be available at launch, we do now know a whole bunch of other stuff.
The latest issue of Famitsu, out this week in Japan, contains a nice feature article on the upcoming Mario Kart Wii.
Along with some new good looking scans, the news piece shines some light on the features we’ll expect to see at the game’s release. With the online 12 player matches already confirmed, Famitsu had to come up with something quite interesting to catch the fans’ attention.. and they did!
The magazine confirmed, in fact, a slew of new features including Mii integration (along with customizable vehicles) and.. air tricks?
That’s right. Apparently the latest game in the series will feature a new “trick” acrobatic system that will let players pull off some smooth moves during the long air-born moments that are sure to be plenty in the 32 confirmed tracks that are on the disk. Excited? Meh…
